- TriviaThe story takes place on the night of March 14th to 15th 1939, when Czechoslovak President Emil Hacha (Rudolf Hrusinsky) goes to Berlin to be subjected to unprecedented pressure from the Nazis and place the fate of the country and nation in the hands of Adolf Hitler. Equally strong, but non-violent, the pressure on him is exerted by his surroundings too - Minister Chvalkovsky (Frantisek Nemec), a doctor (Josef Abrham) and a servant (Sobeslav Sejk) - and each of them has a completely different view of the matter and is driven by different motive.
