At one point Horatio says about the criminals, "We do have one advantage, they don't know that we are on to them yet." The next scene shows Horatio telling everything he knows to one of the criminals, immediately giving away that advantage.
If the boat was on a sandbar it won't sink and the 3 shark fins circling near the boat were fake as well ..the bloody bubble that surfaced after the son dove in was also a stunt and not very well done ... i find it more hilarious than scary ... nice try but it didn't work
