"The Case of the Porcelain Puppy" was the second entry to feature Jeannie's meddlesome, uniform hating dog first introduced in "Djinn Djinn, Go Home." We begin with Jeannie's fascination with oriental porcelain by accidentally transforming Tony's hat and briefcase into pottery that shatters before the stunned gaze of Dr. Bellows. Amanda Bellows marvels at the fine quality of Tony's work, calling in art expert Mr. Farber (Woodrow Parfrey) to examine it. Meanwhile, Jeannie's uniform hating puppy Djinn Djinn puts everyone on edge and in regular clothes. One blink too many and Djinn Djinn becomes Major Nelson's most detailed creation. Mr. Farber is convinced that the porcelain item is a 15th century genuine, 'The Peking Dog,' worth a quarter of a million dollars. This was the last of three posthumous appearances from the late Barton MacLane as General Martin Peterson, broadcast more than two months after his sudden death, Vinton Hayworth's Winfield Schaeffer carrying on into the final season.
