Jacky St. James slips in a ringer in her Tabu Tales incest series with SISTERLY LOVE, what the industry euphemistically refers to as a "girl/girl" video. (I'm always amused that to this day gonzo scenes are innocently called "boy/girl", a term that has stuck the same way that "best boy" and "scriptgirl" are standard crew terminology.)
This lightweight effort would be better suited to a long-running series on one of the Lesbian labels such as Filly Films, Sweetheart Video or Girlfriends Films. The fake notion of step- sisters barely surfaces, overwhelmed by the Sapphic content. (In fact, sisterly incest apart from gimmicky Twins exploitation porn is just not that interesting, just as brothers is not touched on at all, given that it crosses the firewall over into the rack jobber's Gay Porn bin.)
Auteur Jacky makes a fleeting cameo appearance in the first vignette as Bree Daniels' mom. Bree and her step-sister Hope (Ashlyn Molloy) are inseparable lovers, and though unrelated they have been cast with a distinct resemblance to each other. Molloy with the tattoos is the dom of the pair, and they seem bonded for life in this odd vignette.
More down to earth is Part 2. Allie Haze as Rachel narrates, giving advice to Abigail Mac as her sister Sarah (two mules) who's having trouble with boys. Very cornily (I think it dates back to either Margaret O'Brien or Judy Garland movies at MGM) Rachel sets out to teach Sarah how to seduce boys, noting "never break eye contact", which sounds more like Peter North giving direction to a starlet appearing in "Deep Throat This! 139".
Sarah, however, turns out to be the seductress and her big breasts are certainly the highlight of this lame exercise, featuring anilingus.
Jessa Rhodes teaches sister Staci Carr how to deal with femme bullies at school. In this unusually athletic episode, practice fighting leads to intimacy = sex. Rhodes brings out sex toys including a vibrator and glass dildo, typical New Sensations product placement.
Finale has Sasha Heart as Carrie (a Rene Bond type), a lesbian who wants to out her sister Penny (Aubrey Star), a photographer who only photographs women. Crappy dialog like "We're sisters, Carrie"; "Not by blood" ensues - I don't think writer-director Jacky was going for a literary reference here - namely Theodore Dreiser's novel "Sister Carrie" which gave rise to the classic William Wyler film CARRIE starring Jennifer Jones and Laurence Olivier. Today's generation of filmmakers naturally identify the name with Stephen King and the Brian De Palma movie -a film I hated from opening week back in 1976.
Key point of interest here is Heart's sporting a hairy beaver, certainly a rarity in contemporary porn (not counting fetish videos with words like "Furry" in the title) but which Jacky likes to throw in from time to time.
The majority of the performers here do strictly girl/girl videos, no boys allowed, and are also specialists in the bondage and tickle genres. Major exception is Allie Haze, a mainstream superstar, plus Jessa Rhodes known for her boy/girl appearances.
