Great if you love Ben Blue...simply grating otherwise!
I have never understood Ben Blue's popularity. He ended up making over 60 films...and I have no idea why producers kept putting him in movies. Perhaps I'm missing something, though after seeing about half his appearances, I still don't understand him and his appeal...or lack of it. And, "Morning Becomes Electric" does nothing to help me appreciate his comic (?) antics.
There really is no plot to this film. Blue's character is the only person in the short. He wakes up and leaves his outhouse-like home...and then slowly ambles about the countryside. He has a few meetings with animals and the film just ends!!
If you love Blue's work, please feel free to contact me. But I just don't understand the appeal...not one bit. Nor do I understand the title of this film as it appears to have nothing to do with the Eugene O'Neill play in any way. A waste of time for me.
