February

New Camera-I finally sold my old camera , which I hated because the batteries died every single time I would even turn it on I swear. & bought a new Canon one that works much better & easy for daily use! I think the kids were just as excited as I was ;)

Buzzed head- Carter decided in the middle of winter that he wanted a shaved head :) He had wanted it shaved in the past, but I wanted to wait til he was a tad bit older {He did kind of look like a cancer patient at first} but then it grew on me, I'm glad he has a normal shaped head & can pull it off! I'm sure we will be shaving it tons more in the future...
Dance- Tenley is still loving dance. She loves to pick out her outfit & get all dressed up!She likes me to stay & watch her. And doesn't want me to just leave her there alone, but luckily they go into a separate room after 15 minutes & I'm able to sneak away without her knowing :)

USU B-ball- Justin & I took Carter to a USU basketball game, Tenley stayed with my mom. Carter is very into basketball. He will record games on the DVR & watch them non stop. He cracks us up! He will come into our room early morning & tell us about a game that was like weeks old. love him.  Then the following week, we went again & took Dac & Tay along with us! Tenley is a total grandmas girl & of course didn't want to come this time either, which kind of makes it easier on me :) {{Thanks to Aunt Joy}}

January

Cubs Room- Carter's room by far was the "gloomiest" & bugged me the very worst when we bought our house-It was a hunter green, super dark with an ugly creme/tan ceiling & trim.. So we decided to paint & make it much cuter! He is obsessed with sports, so of course that's what we decided on.

After
Church B-ball- Justin was the church basketball coach again this year. The boys really like Justin & Carter asked daily when practice & the games were. He loved going & keeping score at the vet's game as well. Tenley just liked to go & run around with friends.

High school games- Friday nights we made it a family outing -we would go out to eat, wherever the kids chose (usually Pizza Villa or BK) , go get snacks & drinks at the store & watch Bodee play freshman basketball & then go to the varsity game. The kids always looked forward to it, & Justin & I being the sport lovers we are, looked forwarded to having a family night as well.
Snowman- The kids built this snowman with Justin, we built a few this year but Shadow & Bron would always rip & eat the stuff off of them :)

Stuffies- Winters get super boring & we are always trying to come up with new things to do

Earache- One day I went to pick Carter up from pre-school he was crying (not like him) So I was instantly worried he had gotten into a fight or got his tender heart broken. But as soon as I pulled up I could tell he was in pain. He had gotten a really bad earache with about 10 minutes left of school...Of course it was my car pool day (which was good because I was in town, but also bad because I had Chaz with me) ..We ran Chaz to Brandon & Tenley to grandma & were off to the doctor. Doc B wasn't working that day so we went over to Doc C -In the waiting room (took forever) Carter ended up falling asleep, after crying & being in pain for literally 20 minutes. They gave him medicine & he was out. He ended up just having an ear ache, his ear drum was super swollen. But luckily that was it! Babysitting- Tenley is absolutely obsessed with babies & little kids, she just loves "mothering" them, we babysat our friends little girl Baylee. I sure love babies, but am glad to be able to send them home :)

Cardon Christmas

My Grandma & Grandpa Cardon are seriously the cutest ever! They are so thoughtful (all the time) but especially on Christmas, they always go above & beyond to make sure we all have a great Christmas & see the true meaning behind it! This year they bought every couple a big sized Book of Mormon. My Grandpa calls me Blondie & Justin Tiny. Makes me laugh every time.
They are sure a great example to all of us & I look up to them in many ways!!!

Santas Cookies & Freckles

We came home from my grandma & grandpas house & made cookies for Santa & set out peanuts on the porch for the reindeer (Justin made this a tradition & the kids love seeing the smashed/eaten peanuts on the porch in the morning)..Plus we had to say goodbye to Freckles. >>Carter was not a happy camper, you can tell in the first picture that he had been crying {he is still super tender hearted} & he did not want Freckles to leave...We had a lot of fun with Freckles this year, he even got to ride into town to Carter's school performance & listen to him sing :) Once we told them he would be back again next year, everything was alright.

Christmas Eve-Johnson's

We went to my Grandma & Grandpa Johnson's for Christmas Eve as always, a good time, good food & good company.
Our family of 4!
All 5 grandkiddos!
The boys :)
Tenley got a Doc Mcstuffins doctor kit, she of course loved it!
Carter got a crayola coloring kit!
rug rats!
Its fun to stick with family traditions & let our kids in on them! Family is the best!

Sledding!

We spent a lot of our snowy days sledding.. We would make laps up around our house & then down the hill, & then go on the reservoir road as well. Which was perfect because each kids sled went in a tire track & they wouldn't get all the snow up in their faces.
no hands!
The kids would sled for hours, even when they were soaken wet & freezing!

Perry Christmas!

The next day, December 23rd we were off to the Perry Christmas party! We snacked & then the kids were dying to open presents!

Carter is always so patient about waiting his turn to open
Tenley was SO excited to finally get a Barbie jeep & a Ken barbie :)
They got these warm cozy hats , that hold their hands in too. Even slept with them on the next few nights!
 Spoiled once again. Thanks Perry's!

Cardon Christmas!

This year we had 3 Christmas parties, 3 days in a row. It was so much fun, the kids couldn't wait for the next party each day! First on December 22nd at my parents house...

Tenley opened her first present from Brandon & was happy as could be. She wasn't even worried about the rest, we had to keep telling her there was more to open!

Tenley & grandpa signing on her new karaoke machine :)
Dac trying to help Carter on his new pogo stick. Seeing how Carter is almost as big as Dac ;) he wasn't much help. Love ya Dac!!
Ten is Tay's little shadow. She sat & helped her open her presents after Carter was done!
Carter was pumped for his new Packers canvas, which hangs proudly on his wall in his room!
Carter got this balloon pop game from my parents & it was hilarious watching these guys played. No one had ever played it before so they were so nervous each time they rolled the dice. Very entertaining game!
All 5 of the Cardon grandkids! So stinkin' cute!
The kids got spoiled as always. I always tell Justin we don't even need "santa" after we go to all the family parties! Thanks mom & dad for everything!!

Carter singing in Decemember

Carter sang at the nursing home with his preschool in mid December. He is always so concentrated & does such a good job!! I've loved being able to carpool with these two cute girls to preschool! Carter is loving having friends so close to us out here!

Then on December 15th Danica & Carter sang "The Shepard's Carol" in Sacrament. They had been practicing for about a month, & I'll admit I was super nervous about it. But after a few practices & realizing how fast they caught onto the song, I knew they would do great!! {I really wanted to cut his hair, but he was determined to keep it long} But they did awesome!! They were SO cute & didn't forget any of the words! We were so proud of how brave he was for getting up there & signing in front of everybody & not even being scared!!

Ward Christmas Party!

On December 13th we had our ward Christmas party. Tenley was nervous Santa was going to be there before we even went.Once she heard Santa come in, she was terrified, sat on my lap & asked where he was every 5 seconds. So Justin took Carter to see Santa, while Tenley & I saved our seats in the corner farthest from Santa :) She spent almost all the time just sitting with me {until she was 100% sure Santa had left}

The Hymas' called to see if Carter wanted to be a Shepard in the skit, he was of course hesitant at first -but once we got there & he seen Bodee was doing it & he'd be right by him, of course he was ecstatic! And plus a live calf {one he feeds at the farm} Carter was right in his element:) We have such a great ward, it's nice to remember the real meaning of Christmas!!!

Dance Recital #3

Ten had her 3rd "Christmas" dance recital at the nursing home on December 13th & it was her last time doing this same dance...Grandma buppy & daddy were able to take work off & came to watch! {my camera batteries were of course dead, so I only got a video of her dancing & few pics}

She is loving dance still & looks forward to going every week!

Decorating the tree

The next few days were spent with the kids decorating the tree, redecorating it, making ornaments to hang on it & rearranging the bulbs on a daily basis :)
Tenley was mad{didn't want her picture taken with Carter} hence the bright red face from throwing a fit :)

 It fit in the corner perfectly>mainly looked pretty at night from a distance thru the window :) But its worth it while their little!
