Southeastern Yearly Meeting
Quakers in Florida, Coastal Georgia & South CarolinaYou Are Welcome
We gather for spiritual renewal and friendship, and advocate for peace, social justice, and care for the earth.
Find Quakers
You are welcome at any of our Meetings and Worship Groups! We are a mix of newcomers and longtime members, with people of various religious backgrounds, gender identities and orientations.
Our Worship
Quaker worship is grounded in silence, where we listen deeply for what is in our hearts, for inner guidance, and a sense of connection. There is no program or sermon.
Our Faith
The heart of our faith is the experience of the inner source of spiritual connection, renewal, and guidance that is present in everyone. We have no creedal beliefs; faith is a way of life.
What we do
Southeastern Yearly Meeting brings together Friends from Meetings and Worship Groups in our region to share resources, deepen our faith, and work together to advocate for peace, social justice, and sustainability. We hold events in person and online, gathering for spiritual renewal, collaboration, friendship, and fun. We connect Friends to the wider Quaker community, and write and publish the SEYM Faith & Practice.
Worship with us on Sunday. All are welcome!

Queries for the Journey
The Worship and Ministry Committee offers “Queries for the Journey,” weekly queries to help Friends center in their daily journey through quiet, contemplative reflection. New queries will be posted monthly.
Queries for the Journey – 3rd Month (March) 2025
1st week:
The Word of God is placed “on our hearts” (Jeremiah 31:33). In what ways can I open my heart enough to let those words fall into my heart in a way that changes me?
2nd week:
We read that “Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God” (Romans 8:38). How often do I allow the distractions of the world to widen the separation between Spirit and myself? What happens when I consciously keep that unity with Spirit despite that which is happening around me?
3rd week:
The Scriptures admonish us to: “Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14). Who are people in my life who live this out and act as paragons of peacemaking for me? What do I learn from them?
4th week:
We understand that our call as Friends is to: “Put on…compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience” (Colossians 3:12). Where do I recognize opportunities to show these virtues in my everyday interactions with others?
5th week:
One of the foundations of a life of service is: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves” (Romans 12:10). How do I live this teaching in my life? How does humility fit in with this action?
