A road contractor has turned over an endangered bird species, Rofuos Hornbill Buceros hydrocorax, to officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.

In retirement, he wrote four books: The Winking Fox, The Tracks of the Fox, The Raven Dropped His Cheese, and The Mark of the Buceros. He passed away on April 1, 2010, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
