Both mark the latest addition to the company's Exceed family of metallocene hexene LLDPE film resins.

Praetorius tested different cycloalkyl-bridged catalysts and found that the most successful at incorporating hexene comonomer is the cyclobutyl-bridged, which he says offers "greater control of hexene distribution, MWD, and long-chain branching." Next Praetorius tested the position of the bridge on the catalyst and discovered an unusual effect on molecular weight.

[13] studied two isomers of pentene (1-pentene and trans-2-pentene) and three isomers of hexene (1-hexene, trans-2-hexene, and trans-3-hexene) using a shock tube and developed a kinetic model for them.

The GC-MS of the resulted gases showed that they entirely consist of Hexene, Butene, Octene and a few other hydrocarbon gases (mostly unsaturated).

Group18's HeXeNe is also chemistry-related, referring to a class ofchemical compounds composed of six carbon and twelve hydrogen atoms(though disappointingly, neither carbon nor hydrogen is found in Group18).

A joint venture between National Petrochemicals Company (Petrochem) and Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company, this facility has the production capacity for 3 million tons of ethylene, polyethylene, propylene and hexene.
