After my diagnosis, he became my chemo buddy,' says Cath. 'I had an operation to remove the tumour and lymph nodes and started chemotherapy.
"That was the worst moment of my life," says Cath. "We stood watching as his vitals dropped and then they disconnected all his tubes and passed him to me.
"She attracted a team of dedicated volunteers who became as passionately committed to the club as Cath.
"For me, the RAF was an amazing time in my life," said Cath. "I was young and got to travel.
"The garden is lovely when the sun is out and people like to sit out there with their tea," said Cath.
"Mum is a strong character with good values that she's stuck by throughout," says Cath. "She's a great role model to me."
"As a mum, you're very proud that Alistair's done this selfless act," says Cath. "Jonathan wasn't that poorly but Alistair could have potentially saved his life."
Life has not always been so easy for superfit Cath. As a teenager, she was a size 22 and was labelled "the fat funny one" at auditions.
"The doctors give you a general estimate, but it affects everyone so differently they can't really say exactly what's going to happen," said Cath.
"We're just there for each other and love each other," said Cath. "We get on with each other and don't have various little arguments.
"Miscellany needs more performers, in particular musical theatre, light opera or classical singers as a couple of our more mature performers have decided to call it a day due to busy retirement, family and other commitments," said Cath.
