7. Highlighter Theme

Boy, does this theme not photograph well, so you have to check out the static preview.

I love it, though. A really good theme for writing blogs with beautiful and large typeface that has consistent vertical rhythm! It also features readable dashboard-style reblogs. In essence, this theme emphasizes readability.

Features:

  • Incredible clean look
  • Fully responsive (as always)
  • Dashboard-style reblogs
  • BIG BIG WORDS
  • A few options
  • Lots of lines! Everywhere!

Check it out! Preview here and code here.

6. Degenerate Theme (4chan)

Introducing my all-new, never-before-seen theme! That’s right, this theme is inspired by the design of the 4chan website. It looks almost like the real thing! Check it out!

Features:

  • All post types
  • Optional infinite scroll
  • A lot of options (colors, font, etc.)
  • List-style reblog captions (not blockquotes)
  • Fairly responsive (better than the actual 4chan site)
  • Actually really good layout for blogs with a lot of discussion
  • It looks like 4chan! What more can you want?

Previews: Yotsuba, Yotsuba B, Tomorrow, Photon (Permalink).

You can get the code here.

The default colourscheme is Yotsuba, but I have a list of options for 4chan’s six styles for your convenience.

Additional information about this theme can be found here.

5. Facebook Theme

This is a theme based on Facebook’s timeline layout. Unlike Facebook, it’s very customizable. There are a lot of options and it even has infinite scrolling! And you can choose whatever pronoun to use.

Features:

  • Looks like Facebook (duh)
  • Infinite Scroll
  • Fairly responsive
  • Lots of options

Previews: Tom Preview, Pink Preview.

Get the code here.

Documentation for this theme can be found here.

4. Hypertext Markup Language Theme

Please check out the static preview! These image previews seriously don’t do the theme justice.

This is a really simple theme inspired by how a browser typically displays raw HTML. It’s good for writing or otherwise text-heavy blogs, but photo blogs are okay, too. It’s also fully responsive.

Features:

  • All post types
  • Good for writing blogs
  • Very responsive (but only 1 breakpoint)
  • Simplicity

There aren’t many theme options because, well, that would defeat the whole point of this theme. But that doesn’t mean this theme is lacking in any way. Check it out! I think you may love it.

3. Very Boring Theme
Despite the name, I think this theme is pretty cute! I recommend it for text-heavy blogs, but photo blogs will work, too. It uses the free Google font Lora.

3. Very Boring Theme

Despite the name, I think this theme is pretty cute! I recommend it for text-heavy blogs, but photo blogs will work, too. It uses the free Google font Lora.

Features:

  • All post types
  • Very responsive (variable post and font size)
  • Big and easy-to-read font
  • Good for writing or otherwise text-heavy blogs
  • Option for rounded images
  • A few colour and background options

2. 404 Theme

Makes your blog look exactly like the tumblr 404 page. Search bar works and the gifs change on refresh.

I did not make this. I ripped the code from tumblr.

I know that there’s an option for you to hide your blog from users who aren’t logged in, but maybe some would prefer this. You could also use it so that your index page isn’t viewable, but you can access posts via a permalink.

Preview here and code here. Have fun with this!

Note: You have to disable the tumblr mobile default theme in your theme settings in order for this theme to work properly.

1. Lemon Theme

I’m back! With a completely redone version of my first theme.

The theme is now responsive and has a much easier to read layout. But it still retains much of the old design. This is my most customizeable theme.

Features:

  • All post types
  • 400px/450px/500px/550px posts
  • Plenty of color options
  • Small sidebar that fades into existence
  • Customizeable to any style of blog
  • Fairly responsive

I recommend this theme for picture blogs, aesthetic blogs, or any blog that doesn’t have a lot of text (shitposts are okay). It won’t be the best for blogs with long articles, since the font size is rather small.

Previews: Garden of Words, Lemon, Quirky.

The code can be found here. I also have documentation for this theme here to which you can refer if you need help understanding the theme options.

From here on, I will be re-releasing my old themes (which have now been updated) and after that, I’ll have a new and exciting new theme to share with you all.
