I purchased this hub to use with my new MacBook Pro, and I must say, it's fantastic. The build quality is excellent, and it even looks like Apple made it with a similar material feel and color. The port options are fantastic, and I love that there are several permutations of this dock to fit various needs. I chose this one since it has the ethernet port, which also works great. I do worry a bit about the durability of that port as it is plastic unlike the rest of the dock which is aluminum. The only complaint I have is that the hub is a little thinner than my computer which means when sitting on a desk there is some space below it for it to flex and put some stress on the ports. I read another review where the user added rubber feet and I've elected to do the same.

I have 2 - Good overall but 2 non-fatal issues
Good build quality, All the ports seem to work, except as noted below. I haven't seen 40gps but that could be for any number of reasons, including cable and what's at each end. I really like having 2 Thunderbolt ports. Two issues:1. The inboard USB-C port, next to HDMI, has a problem. Do not use this for data - use it for power. If you unplug anything from this port, it disconnects the other ports. Both of mine do this exact same thing. YMMV, but i doubt it.2. The dock is suspended by the connectors and it levitates 1/8 inch off the table. If you accidentally put pressure on it, you could have problems. I solved this problem by putting little clear bumpers on both sides (see picture). Not the dock sits solidly on the table, and it still fits in the case provided.
