She has been interested in this book for a long time. Now she has can refer back to it anytime. It is definitely an important addition to her already comprehensive astrology collection of resources.

Clearly written, well organized book with easy to follow examples. Probably is the best Uranian Astrology book available in English.

This book is not an easy read. It will take time to get acquainted with this new concept. I would not have purchased this if I had known there was very little access to this knowledge in general. You will need a dial 90 degree, the book does not come with one. It's challenging.

This book, the only one written by its author and, alas, out of print, is very well organised, thorough, well illustrated, cleanly and clearly written and nicely published. One should bear in mind that computer applications have meanwhile made an astrologer's computations much quicker and easier, resulting in "astrologers" who often have, at best, only vague notions of the underlying astronomy and mathematics required to calculate horoscopes and auxiliary data. This book contains all the procedures and formulae required to work directly from ephemerides.

This book is, moreover, quite a good general introduction to astrology and contains many useful and occasionally profound insights. Its basic illustrated explanations of midpoints are excellent. In both static analyses and predictions, the author refers to manual techniques using various dials. These are even today useful if not indispensable to get a direct feeling for midpoint searching etc. In practice, however, such work today is performed using computer programmes.

In contrast to the works of Mr. Ludwig Rudolph and Ms. Ruth Brummund, a chapter on birth time confirmation or rectification is entirely lacking. This step is, however, vital and indispensable in the Hamburg School, often referred to as "Uranian Astrology". Such rectification is the equivalent of calibrating a measurement tool or tuning a musical instrument.

Although the author mentions amongst the advanced predictive topics that, in his experience, some are more accurate using the sidereal calculations, he does not examine or discuss the possibilities of a "sidereal Uranian astrology", a question certainly worthy of research, especially if one wishes to extensively use houses, signs as well as planetary rulerships and placements therein as does Mr. Jacobson. Generally, techniques based on the "360 degree dial" have fallen into disuse. Differences in directed degrees of solar arc between sidereal and tropical might also give rise to fruitful research.

Although Mr Jacobson explains the systematic symmetry of the three pairs of "personal points", e.g. the pair Medium Coeli and Ascendant, he nevertheless, like several later authors, suggests investigating inclusion of the Vertex amongst them without naming the complementary symmetrical point. Of course it could not be the Anti-Vertex, as some other authors have erroneouly proposed, as this point falls together with the Vertex already in the 180° dial.

Although he rarely refers to "karma" in his text, a word often abused to explain everything and nothing, the author mistranslates von Goethe's text before the Preface (both the German original and the translation are given), presumably to make it conform to the author's own "new age" ideology with its dogmas of "reincarnation" and "karma". "Werde" is the second person singular imperative form of the verb "werden", "to become" and means simply "become". The author mistranslates this as [sic!] "rebirth".
