    I wasn't expecting much from Founders Day but i actually liked it. I'm not saying this is a good movie but i enjoyed it more then i thought i would. It's a satirical political slasher that's also a throwback to 90s slashers like Scream, Urban Legend, and I Know What You Did Last Summer and i absolutely love those kind of slashers. I thought the acting was fine and while i liked a couple of the characters, most of them were either unlikable or dull in my opinion. The writing and directing wasn't the best but i still liked the story and some of the twists and reveals in the third act. There was one pretty good kill but i thought most of the kills were alright. Overall this movie's definitely cheesy slasher and i'm not saying it's great but i thought it was a pretty decent slasher and it's one i wouldn't mind rewatching.

    FOUNDER'S DAY does not reinvent the wheel, but it's a decent horror/slasher time passer. If you enjoy 80's horror with a twist of 90's who done it, this will be up you alley. BOY MEETS WORLD's William Russ produces and gives a tour de force performance. Watch it, it's entertaining.

    This was a fun watch. Is it genre defining? No. But it doesn't try to be. It doesn't deserve some of the critical reviews it gets, especially that it's a Scream wannabe. It's just clear that the writers thoroughly enjoyed Scream and it rubbed off in their work, that's certainly not a bad thing! I recommend a watch: sit back, relax, and enjoy the slashing!

    I rented this video because it promised a lesbian couple in the spotlight. Of course, the film killed off one of the couple within the first ten minutes. It's hard enough finding representation; it's even more frustrating when the representation is just a gimmick. Stop fridging the gays, for crying out loud!

    I enjoyed the film however the subtitles are incorrect throughout the film missing words and entire sentences. Additionally the subtitles would be chopped on the bottom and top of the screen. This does not affect viewing the film, but only with the subtitle feature.

    Even though I didn't hear too many good things about this movie I thought I would give it a try. Half way thru I was bored but stuck with it. Some of the characters were likable but story got confusing and silly at times. Glad i didn't go to theater for this one.
