Multi-talented colouring pencil

A real all-rounder

The STABILO woody 3 in 1 is perfect for kids to draw and paint and ideal for parents too – it washes off windows and is suitable for many surfaces besides just paper or cardboard. STABILO woody 3 in 1 has a range of 18 colouring pencils that also function as wax crayons and watercolours, making them ideal for aquarelle work. They offer vibrant colour intensity and opacity and even work on dark paper. STABILO woody 3 in 1 pencils are long lasting, as the large 10mm lead contains as much colour as eight standard colouring pencils. The STABILO woody 3 in 1 is so versatile it can even complement the more mature artist’s toolkit.

Paper

For the first painting trials on any coloured paper the STABILO woody 3 in 1 is perfect. It is also aquarelle.

Dark surfaces

Dark surfaces are no problem for this multi-talented 3 in 1 pencil. There are no limits to the fun of painting.

Smooth surfaces

Easy to wash off! From smooth surfaces such as glass, the colour of the STABILO woody 3 in 1 can be easily wiped off with a little water.

Cardboard

Colour Intense! The STABILO woody 3 in 1 also paints on cardboard thanks to its high opacity.

Scratch

First, several layers of paint are applied to each other on a piece of paper - starting with the bright colours. The last layer should always be black or dark. With the scraper now the top layer is scratched. As a result, the underlying colours are wonderfully revealed.

Watercolour

STABILO woody 3 in 1 can be used directly on paper or it can be used with a wet brush which can create a similar effect to water colours.

Blow dry & frottage

Heat the pencil with a hair dryer - this changes the structure of the paint. The now soft, malleable paint is then simply applied to a sheet of paper. You can use STABILO woody 3 in 1 for frottage by simply placing coins, sheets or other flat items under the paper and lightly painting over it.

Pastel

If you love delicate colour transitions or are looking for new colour options, you can simply mix the colours with your fingers.

This is a Christmas gift for my 2.5 yo who loves to draw and paint. I haven’t given it to her yet but I am very pleased with the product. The pencils are fatter than I expected and will be perfect for her tiny hands. I tested one color (indigo) and was very pleased with the thick mark and bold color. A wet paintbrush directly on the mark I made had nice results. I like that the mark does not disappear completely. I think my little girl and I will enjoy these for many years. The pencils are sturdy and I would be surprised if they broke. When I ordered them I thought the price was a bit high but they are worth it. I recommend watching the video on Stabilo’s website. That is what made me finally decide to order in spite of the price. I would definitely order these again. I’m considering buying some for my daughter’s preschool class.

They also came with a paintbrush and a pencil sharpener. I don’t let him have the pencil sharpener, but I’m so glad I have it because the diameter of the pencil is a little wider than normal pencil sharpeners.

This is a fantastic set. While they might be more expensive than standard crayons, they’re going to last you a lot longer, and they are so fun (addictive!) to use.
