My favourite app, very nice and intuitive to use. One minor point: with the articles (on the home page, as well as related stories at the bottom of an article) I am missing the indication how old they are! This has been removed, regrettably. Evidently, this is particularly important for the related articles. I hardly ever look at the date on the article itself, all the more important to indicate its "age" where I decide whether I want to read it or not... For the rest, nothing negative to say!

Used it a lot before the 50 article monthly limit was introduced but I'm not going to pay €9.99 a month for news from a country I no longer live in. I'd consider €36.50 per year. I mainly use it with unlimited wifi at home so can still use the webpage and when I'm not home I can increase my mobile data for less and use it for other things too. Good for UK news. Automatically reloads too frequently. A section of ads disguised as articles (easy to spot and avoid if you know they are there).

Hello. Thank you for your feedback. The move to a metered app is an evolution of our long-standing approach to having a paid-for version of our news app, alongside provision of free access. Guardian journalism will remain entirely free and open to all on the web, regardless of readers’ ability to pay.

What have you done? I'm a subscriber and I appear to no longer have any control over which subjects are displayed by the app (Android and IPad). This makes the app pretty unusable and is clearly a huge bug since it's still possible to edit the home page topics in the settings even though they are ignored. Please revert ASAP.
