Now, many times hip impingement injuries like she was experiencing improve dramatically with joint mobilizations to improve joint mobility & lateral hip stability work (with exercises like side plank clamshells & using a band around the legs when squatting) - but she had tried those & couldn’t see any change! The evaluation I performed showed her weak link was in medial & posterior chain stability - meaning we needed to enhance adductor and glute max activation. . Trapping a foam roller to a wall and then doing a single leg bridge or B-stance RDL is a great way to do that! . And as always, TEST & then re-test to check our work! .
