But it doesn’t have to be! ❤️ - This move focuses on creating a stretch and opening through your hamstrings and activation of your dorsiflexor (when your foot goes up) muscles 🦶 - These muscles are VERY important in providing stability and offloading pressure to your knee. And yes, even with meniscus tears or arthritis, this move is GOLD and it can provide tons of relief!!! 🏆 - As always, if this move causes you pain, decrease the range of movement. If pain persists, stop the exercise! 🤗
This move is a juicy one
Hip and low back pain are often tied together because one can affect the other. You know the saying, “it’s all connected”? ⛓️ - Well, it literally is 🕺🏻 - This move is so great at opening up both the back and the hip. So whether you have an issue with one or both, I HIGHLY recommend you give this a go! - As always, if this move causes you pain, decrease the range of movement. If pain persists, stop the exercise! 🤗

You’re gonna want to try this… trust me!
Opening up the hips and getting them mobile (not flexible!) is critical when approaching pain that brings on stiffness in the joint 👌 - And that’s exactly what this move does 🤩 it gets the hip joints open, stretches some juicy muscles, and helps to relieve quite a bit of pain. - If the balance feels off, you can hold onto something! And make sure to live in the mild-moderate stretch zone. This shouldn’t HURT. Only stretchy. If it hurts, back off a bit ❤️
Meniscus Tears and Knee Arthritis
They may sound scary but I assure you, they are NOT!! 🙏 - In fact, the more active you are now, the more you move the joint, the more you are brave enough to not give up and give in, the better your knee will feel ❤️ - How do I know this? Kinda 😜 - Disc herniations heal on their own timeline (and yea, that’s right, I said HEAL), everyone’s is a bit different HOWEVER! It is extremely important that we stay moving! - Movement is great at helping to regulate pain, prevent further stiffness through joints and muscles, and keeping your nervous system “contracting/stretching” - This may seem counterintuitive or even scary to move, but DO NOT let that fear win!! That’ll only make things worse 🤕

And luckily enough, those knees too 🤩 - Hip bursitis is actually NOT a diagnosis, but rather a symptom of a larger problem (understand the source and it becomes REALLY easy to treat) 🙏 - Labral tears are a little more tricky but even still, I’ve had tons of patients regain normal range of motion and eradicate pain! - It all really comes down to feeding your body healthy movements 🔥 And this move here is a prime example of a healthy movement 😉
