Embroidery by Emily June on Instagram: "It’s getting cold outside and it’s definitely mitten season… mixed with candy cane season. ❤️ This vintage-inspired mittens design from our Merry Magic Stick and Stitch (on sale right now!) only uses two colors and a small handful of stitches, but is sweet and unique. How to stitch up these mittens! 💖 1. Start with a Satin Stitch using 2 strands of my FAVORITE @dmc_embroidery red, 22. 2. Fill in the hearts using 3 strands of classic Blanc. First use a diagonal Satin Stitch from one “hump” towards the point, and then again over that stitch from the other direction. 3. Using 2 strands of Blanc, lay down stripes using the Straight Stitch. 4. For the cuffs, take 4 strands of Blanc and lay down the messiest French Knots you can - I wrapped my needle Stick And Stitch, Embroidery Red, Magic Stick, How To Stitch, Dmc Embroidery, Needle Point, French Knots, Embroidery Needles, Straight Stitch
