Happily, I’ve found that when you’re first getting started, you can cobble together everything you need to safely process a batch of jam or pickles from what you already have in your kitchen! Everything you’ll need to get started, including a big stock pot, aluminum foil (or a round rack if you have it), a hot/cold plastic cup, exact-o knife, tongs and rubber bands.
