I start with @goldenpaints heavy body acrylic range these paints are already quite thick , and the colours are pigmented enough that I can add in a thickener and they keep their colour. Next I use the extra heavy matte gel (also by Golden) and mix 1 part paint to 3 parts heavy gel. I like a matte finish since my backgrounds are also matte, but the extra heavy gel gloss is also great! For the thin lines or details I usually use the high flow acrylics (again by @goldenpaints ) and I use the same high flow paint for Making Paint, Painting Instructions, Textured Paint, Matte Gel, Flow Painting, So Many Questions, About Me Questions, Textured Canvas Art, 3d Painting
