Shahaji II achieved zenith of civilizational glory in terms of cultured lifestyle with mastery over poetry & literature of several languages, restoration, promotion of countless Temples and Brahmins, establishing stable Kulin Kshatriya rule in Far South that survived even the full-fledged onslaught of Mughal Empire's greatest general Zulfiqar Khan when he marched to besiege Jinji (Chandipura) nearby which was then Temporary Capital of Maratha Empire under King Shahaji II's cousin Emperor Chattrapati Rajaram Shivaji Bhonsale Maharaja.

Maratha Choladeshadhipati Maharaja Ekoji (alternate name Venkoji) Shahaji Bhonsale of Tanjavur with his sons Shahaji II Venkoji Bhonsale and Serfoji Venkoji Bhonsale. Maharaja Ekoji Shahaji Bhonsale was the brother of legendary Hindu Emperor Chattrapati Shivaji Shahaji Bhonsale. Maharaja Ekoji Bhonsale was renowned for his cultured way of life. Bijapur Royal Poet Malik-Uz-Shora Mullah Nusrati called him "Mahabali" and "Samajhdar" among Wazirs of Adilshahi Empire. Maharaja Ekoji Bhonsale then established a new Hindu kingdom after being invited by local Palegars to Tamil Nadu. Here an unparalleled Dharmic State was formed, with countless Brahmin scholars patronized for literature and sciences, music and art. Marathas lived sustaining the zenith of Hindu civilization.

Maratha King Shrinath Maharaja Mahadji (Madhavrao) Ranoji Shinde of Gwalior - Ujjain Sansthan of Bhonsale Chattrapati Empire. Son of Maratha Nagavanshi King Ranoji Jankoji Shinde of Kanherkhed. He became Wazir-E-Azam of Mughal Empire by bringing defunct Delhi Badshah under his mercy and established Maratha Supremacy over Delhi and attained the title of Naib / Nawab Wakil-Ul-Mutlaq, giving him almost total control of Mughal legitimacy. Under him the Marathas avenged their losses at Panipat by an extensive Scorched Earth revenge campaign against the Rohilla Pashtuns who had facilitated the Afghan Durrani Empire invasions and almost completely wiped them out. He was regarded as the most important and powerful man in entire Asia, whose presence alone deterred the British Colonialist onslaught.

This is labelled as Maratha Maharaja Jayajirao (born Bhagirathrao Hanumantrao) Shinde of Gwalior. But as per many experts, this is actually Maharajadhiraja Raghuji III Bhonsale (born as Bajirao Venkatrao Gujar) of Nagpur. King Raghujiraje III was known for his cultured pious Hindu way of life. Devoted to cause of Brahmins and Cows, and philanthropy, he was regarded as Dharmamurti and as semblance of Bhagwan Vishnu. British Colonizers looted Nagpur after his death and illegally annexed the prosperous Maratha Kingdom.
