REVOLUTIONARY ROCK MUSIC VIDEOS
We all love watching music videos, but did you know which was the first music video to air on MTV ? Or who made the first CGI animated video, or which artist’s video helped pave the way for Black artists to gain international stardom? Here are a few music videos that we think revolutionized the music industry, inspiring further creative expression and allowing all musicians to gain success from their art.
BUILD CONFIDENCE AND MUSICAL PROFICIENCY
Twenty years of experience and hundreds of thousands of students have taught us that playing music with others results in stronger proficiency compared to conventional music education. Working toward and experiencing live performance is the core of our curriculum. Our students grow as individuals by taking the stage with others. While our students work with bandmates, they learn broader life skills like collaboration, compromise and courage.
A PROVEN COMBINATION OF PRIVATE LESSONS AND GROUP REHEARSALS
We utilize a performance-based music curriculum where students are exposed to full-band rehearsals and one-on-one lessons. This combination allows students to learn key concepts and skills during their individual lessons, and then practice those teachings with other students during their band rehearsals. The result is our students become very proficient at their instruments.
PLAY SHOWS IN REAL ROCK VENUES
All of our music classes employ our specialized performance-based teaching techniques, including private music lessons and group rehearsals. School of Rock aims to guide its students through a step-by-step process that will lead them towards the ultimate goal of performing live in front of an audience.
