The launch of Windows 98 was a major upgrade for Windows users, solving some of the problems of Windows 95. This program previewed the new functionality of Windows 98 and also featured Win98 add-ons including Microsoft's Plus! 98, the Windows utility Tweak UI, and Gizmos 98 from Play. Guests include Linus Torvalds, developer of Linux, Mike Elgan of Windows magazine, and Kiki Stockhammer of Play. Originally broadcast in 1998. Copyright 1998 Stewart Cheifet Productions.

That Gizmos 98 software looks cool, I bet I would have enjoyed having that back in the day. The email/pager device was also cool to see.

The first part of this show concentrates on Window 98 which apart from having USB is Windows 95
I wish I had a machine back then that swam effortlessly ... from icon to icon!
In the Linux part we have a breif history of Linux and of Linus T. While, like a lot of television, it is shallow I never seen him on TV before, he looks almost like Mr Gates, I wonder if they share some genetics?
The last article, about a wireless portable email m/c from RIM never mentions the S-Word, happy dayz indeed.

Subject: Interesting look back
The majority of this show is about windows 98. I remember being one of the many that got taken in by the buzz going around about Windows 98... this program
...
is a good example of this. They show some pretty basic features that we all take for granted today... and gloss over many of the shortcomings. I felt like this show was a big advertisement for Microsoft. Its worth the download for a funny look back, and it features an unexplicable interview with Linus(even if it is short) considering the show's focus.
