A battle that took place between the Ancient and Beast cookies temporarily allowed the heroes to determine the fate of the olden cookies. Although the battle ended with them winning and suffering no casualties, this terrorizing clash simply served as proof that there could be no next time things would end this smoothly. Pure Vanilla Cookie knew they couldn't leave this to chance or sealing magic, as it would simply make the problem an issue for future generations.
The best way to end this evil was to reach its heart and offer companionship, even though neither side wanted to do it. But among the Ancient cookies, Dark Cacao Cookie seemed to like this offer the most. If only they knew why he was okay with this "redemption" idea wasn't that he believed he could change Mystic Flour Cookie but that... he simply had a crush on her.
Or: Dark Cacao Cookie's wish is far beyond befriending her, but he knows there is nothing he can do for his apathetic counterpart. So, he will cherish the moments they share instead, no matter how futile they are for Mystic Flour Cookie.

Richie and Eddie argued a lot. It was just their dynamic– Richie annoyed Eddie, Eddie squabbled back, and all of their friends wanted to kill them. It was familiar and routine. After a particularly bad spat, their routine must change. It was only natural, considering they swapped bodies. Because of course that would happen. Eddie could barely tolerate Richie as it was, let alone literally being him. Richie didn't know how to manage– especially since he'd be missing so much rehearsal.
Excerpt: "Whatever, it's not my fault you guys dim my sparkle.” Richie made an exaggerated sad face, like a clown painting you'd find in a shitty thrift store.
"What the fuck does that even mean?" Eddie felt his eyebrows crease. Even though Richie frequently made references to a stardom he'd one day have, he was being particularly incoherent about it today.
