Maybe this isn’t a second chance, but instead an elaborate scheme to make him feel annoyed and guilty.“If you’re going to be climbing up the ventilation system, you need some protection for that pretty face of yours,” Mel explains, tapping her chin. “Also, the proper reaction is, still, saying thank you.”
Viktor scowls at her.
“Relinquish the flesh!” She exclaims, ignoring his annoyance; a joyful smile on her face.
Maybe he should've just died when he had the chance to.
Or: Death is supposed to be final, or so Viktor thought; because if it is, then why had he woken up in his childhood bedroom?
Or; after the finale, rather than dying, Viktor is spat out back in the past. Ridden with guilt, he decides to change the outcome of his fate. He helps people along the way.

Trevor would distract Richter until he inevitably blew up at him, and then hold him close and let him scream and wail into his shoulder, knowing too well the pain of losing your parents so young. They would dote on him, the way they doted on all their children, all their grandchildren. They would not turn their backs on him. Alucard’s heart howls at the thought of turning his back on him, even if getting attached inevitably means losing him.
