Wonwoo's Nail Salon

Summary:

There was a heat wave tackling the city, yet all Soonyoung could come up with was forcing him to help him paint his nails. Wonwoo didn't remember signing up for free suffering when he got with his boyfriend, but it looks like free suffering was in the plans anyway.

Notes:

Things aren't going so well so I'm writing, as always :') I had this silly idea of Soonyoung barging in and demanding Wonwoo helped him paint his nails, so I wrote it earlier.

Work Text:

“Won~woo!!”

Oh boy.

Most of Wonwoo’s braincells had melted due to the hellish heat that had settled over the city the past few days, but there was one thought deeply ingrained in him that wouldn’t leave no matter the circumstances, and it was that Soonyoung’s cheerfulness during days where normal people would be out of commission could only mean one thing: trouble.

Bracing himself for the possibility that Soonyoung’s attitude might hurt his brain, Wonwoo took a deep breath before putting down his headset on his desk. It took him a few clicks to bring his game back to the starting menu, and once he was sure that there was no risk of him accidentally joining a raid, he turned around, facing Soonyoung.

Unsurprisingly, Soonyoung wasn’t wearing clothes. Well, he was wearing a pair of boxers (that looked suspiciously like his, Wonwoo noted in a corner of his mind, but he wasn’t about to fight Soonyoung for a pair of boxers, not today) which made sense, considering how hot today was.

Wonwoo himself was wearing boxers and a loose tank top because wearing any more layers would mean boiling to death, and he’d have to get paid to consider putting on anything else than the clothes he was currently wearing.

But back to Soonyoung. He was sweating, in spite of the much welcomed aircon and additional fans of the dorms, but more importantly, he was carrying a pouch. Wonwoo’s eyes settled on the gray pouch, eyeing it suspiciously. It didn’t look like Soonyoung’s usual pouch of make up and skincare products, so he had no idea what its contents could be.

“Yes?” Wonwoo finally said, seeing as Soonyoung was just standing there, not saying anything.

“I need your help,” Soonyoung declared, closing the door behind him and coming up to him. Wonwoo’s eyes followed Soonyoung’s hands as they put down the pouch on his desk, but he was forced to make eye contact with Soonyoung right after as the latter cupped his jaw and pressed their mouths together in a kiss.

Wonwoo let Soonyoung lead the kiss, which lasted for a couple of seconds before his boyfriend pulled away, grinning. Wonwoo pecked his lips in return, but groaned in protest as Soonyoung sat on his lap.

“No,” Wonwoo told him, “it’s too hot and you know it.”

“That’s not what you were saying last night,” Soonyoung pointed out, “on the contrary, you were very eager to have me--”

“It was different,” Wonwoo cut him off, pressing a finger against his lips, “it was slightly cooler and we were planning on taking a shower after. Right now, I don’t want to do anything that will make me sweat more.”

Soonyoung rolled his eyes but got off his lap. Wonwoo let out a sigh of relief, but as he established eye contact with his boyfriend, he could tell that the latter wasn’t done.

“So, why did you need my help?” Wonwoo asked, figuring it might be quicker to ask Soonyoung directly.

“Nail polish,” Soonyoung declared, opening the pouch to fetch a couple of bottles and some cotton pads.

Wonwoo blinked, and shook his head.

“What? Soonyoung, there’s literally like, four nail salons near the dorms, just go there?”

Soonyoung clicked his tongue, like Wonwoo had said something particularly stupid, and he crossed his arms.

“I want to do it myself! I’ve got a performance skit coming up soon and I wanted to surprise the fans.”

It was Wonwoo’s turn to cross his arms and give Soonyoung a judging look.

“Then do it yourself, why do you need my help?”

“I’m right-handed so I’m afraid I’ll mess up if I try using my left hand,” Soonyoung pouted, “so I thought you could help me out.”

Wonwoo resisted the urge to run a hand through his hair, knowing the black strands were probably sweaty, both from the heat in the room and from having kept his headset on for a couple of hours. His boyfriend could be so unbelievably stubborn.

“You know I’ve never painted nails before? I don’t see how this could work out,” Wonwoo sighed.

“I’ve done it a couple times with my sister when we were kids,” Soonyoung said, “it can’t be that hard! Besides, we can just look up stuff on Youtube if we struggle too much.”

It was obvious that Soonyoung would not back down, leaving Wonwoo with no choice but to agree in partaking in this disaster of a nail painting session.

Soonyoung bribed him with kisses and the promise to treat him to dinner tonight, and soon they were clearing Wonwoo’s desk to set up their makeshift nail salon. Soonyoung explained how he wanted to have two colors on his nails; black for all fingers, except for his pinkies, which he wanted bright red. Wonwoo nodded, figuring it shouldn’t be too complicated… maybe.

Soonyoung opened the small bottles of nail polish, as well as the nail polish remover in case they needed to use it urgently. The smell of alcohol and whatever else was in there made Wonwoo frown, and he even coughed.

“Why the fuck does it have to smell like that?” he complained.

Soonyoung sent him a sheepish smile.

“It, um, does smell bad. I didn’t remember it smelled that bad, though. Maybe it’s because I got cheap stuff?”

“Let’s get this over as soon as possible, then,” Wonwoo sighed.

There was a pause, and Wonwoo realized the problem at the same time as Soonyoung.

“You don’t, um, have another chair in your room,” Soonyoung said, and Wonwoo couldn’t tell whether it was a question or a statement.

“You planned this, didn’t you?” Wonwoo glared at Soonyoung, “you picked the hottest day of the week to come bother me with painting your nails fully knowing there’d be no way for us to make it work unless you sat on my lap.”

“You severely overestimate me,” Soonyoung protested, “that detail slipped my mind!”

Wonwoo braced himself again, sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose. Soonyoung was going to be the death of him.

“Okay, whatever, just sit on my lap. But you’d better make it up to me later,” Wonwoo groaned, giving up.

“Yay!” Soonyoung cheered, getting on his boyfriend’s lap with ease, “I’ll buy you dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow, how’s that?”

“What more can you throw in that deal, while you’re at it?” Wonwoo asked, determined not to let Soonyoung get away with just buying him food.

Soonyoung pursed his lips, paused for a few seconds, and kissed him on the lips. Wonwoo let him suck on his tongue, answering the kiss lazily, and despite his earlier claims of not wanting to do anything that would make him sweat, found that his body was reacting positively to having Soonyoung sitting on him, so close, solely for him.

Soonyoung rested a hand over his chest, mapping out his curves through his tank top, and Wonwoo had to admit that his boyfriend’s ministrations felt pretty good. Maybe they could agree on a prolonged moment of intimacy as a form of payback for Soonyoung taking away his precious day off, which he would’ve spent gaming had it not been for the interruption.

“I’ll make sure to please you,” Soonyoung promised, pulling away to breathe, “after we’re done, let’s shower, and I’ll suck you off.”

“Looks like we’re about to reach an agreement,” Wonwoo nodded, not missing the way Soonyoung’s hand had slipped under his tank top to caress his torso.

“And you could fuck me in the shower?” Soonyoung added, looking a tad too innocent considering the words he had just uttered.

“Yeah, that’d be nice,” Wonwoo agreed, his body temperature shooting up by a few degrees both from Soonyoung sitting on him and from his naughty hands.

“It’s a deal then,” Soonyoung chuckled, taking back his hand and sitting properly, “I gotta say, though, you’re getting pretty hard to deal with. I had to offer you meals, a blowjob and shower sex, when all I’m getting in return is an empty wallet and badly painted nails.”

“You’re my boyfriend, you should’ve known I wouldn’t go easy on you,” Wonwoo smirked, “besides, you don’t know how the nail painting will turn out, maybe I’ll discover a new talent. And don’t act like you’re not gonna enjoy the sex later,” he concluded, pinching Soonyoung’s bare hip.

“Okay, okay,” Soonyoung giggled against his lips, “let’s get started?”

They shuffled around, trying to make do with what little shared space they had. Soonyoung on his lap was way more distracting than he had previously thought, Wonwoo came to notice, and it was even worse that Soonyoung was pretty much naked. Feeling his bare skin against his constantly was nice but also made him crave for more, and seeing it made it hard to focus on the task at hand.

“You’re distracting,” Wonwoo complained as he was trying his best to apply a first coat on Soonyoung’s fingers.

“I’m not moving that much and I don’t smell that bad,” Soonyoung complained back, frowning.

“I never said you smelled bad,” Wonwoo rolled his eyes, “it’s summer, of course everyone is sweating.”

“Then how exactly am I distracting?” Soonyoung pressed on.

“You’re not wearing any clothes,” Wonwoo sighed, “as much as I am used to seeing to it, it’s hard to focus on anything else than your body right now.”

Soonyoung let out a loud laughter at that, making Wonwoo’s hand slip and the nail polish cover not only Soonyoung’s nail, but his finger as well.

“Stop laughing, idiot, we’re getting nail polish everywhere,” Wonwoo scolded him.

He was thankful to have thought of covering his desk with some tissues beforehand, because he wasn’t sure how good the nail polish remover was supposed to be. Soonyoung sighed, and stood as still as he could as Wonwoo resumed painting his nails.

After applying a first coat on all of Soonyoung’s nails, they decided to wait for the nail polish to dry before applying a second coat. Overall, the results weren’t too bad: the nail polish had covered Soonyoung’s fingers at the same time as his nails, but that first layer was pretty even.

“Let’s wait until we’re done with the second coat to clean the nail polish that spilled,” Soonyoung suggested, staring at his hands. “It’ll be a waste of time to clean it if we're going to spill more anyway.”

“Yeah,” Wonwoo nodded, resting his chin on his boyfriend’s shoulder, “don’t touch your fingers, okay? Just let them rest on the desk.”

Soonyoung agreed and let out a happy sigh.

“Isn’t it fun?” he asked, tilting his head against Wonwoo’s.

“I can think of better ways to spend time together, but this is okay,” Wonwoo answered, pressing a kiss to Soonyoung’s cheek. “I’m kind of doing all the work there.”

“Aw, poor Wonwoo,” Soonyoung humored him, “think of everything you’re getting in exchange!”

“I am, why do you think I’m doing it?” Wonwoo humored him back.

Wonwoo picked up the nail polish bottles once more, and applied the second coat to Soonyoung’s nails. This time, it went a little faster, and Soonyoung told him he would take care of cleaning his fingers. Wonwoo let him do so, sighing again. It was pretty cute seeing Soonyoung stick out his tongue as he got rid of the nail polish on his hands, and the sight cheered him up.

“Happy?” Wonwoo asked, caressing Soonyoung’s hips.

“Very,” Soonyoung giggled, admiring the work, “I think I’ll just need to wash my hands and I’ll be good!”

There was a pause, and Soonyoung turned around to kiss Wonwoo on the lips. Wonwoo caught his lips against his, and they kissed for a while, wordlessly.

“Come with me to the bathroom?” Soonyoung asked, beaming at him. “I think it’s time for the first payment.”

“So soon?” Wonwoo asked, smirking, “I should consider painting your nails more often.”

“You’re silly,” Soonyoung concluded with a laugh and another deep kiss.

Wonwoo let himself forget about the summer heat as cold water washed over his and Soonyoung's bodies as they kissed, smiling at each other.
