Chapter Text
Frida fiddled with the remote with the TV on “I think I figured this remote out. The part with the highlighted blue border is what selected, and I can start it by pressing the button that said Enter. It similar to a computer mouse but different.” She looked up at the TV and back to the remote. “Okay Season 1 Episode one is ready to go.”
“Thank you Frida” Johanna said holding a plate of freshly made cucumber sandwiches as a Tea kettle sat on the stove.
“This feels weird.” Hilda stated setting up a folding chair with a blanket on it.
“What part? The show named after you? Or that anther reality recorded our lives as a cartoon?” David remarked snagging a piece of popcorn from the bowl on the coffee table.
“This all feels odd to me.” Louise said setting up anther folding chair with a blanket over it. “Though it will be fun to see what kind of stuff I can expect handing out with you guys now.”
“As well as filling in some notes from the stuff I was not there for” Alfur pipped up from the Table. He had an elf sized blanket spread out with a stack of tiny pillows to put his back ageist. As well as a single piece of pop corn next to it to pull pieces off of to much on and a few note books.
“You can count me out of this” Tonto said popping out of the near by dresser. “I’ve seen enough of what you all get up to. Beside I can’t see that well.”
Twig stood to the side watching everyone else get set up. Everyone took their seats. Hilda, Johanna and Frida took the Sofa. Twig curled up in Hilda’s lap. David took the chair closes to Frida and Louise took the chair next to Hilda. Frida hit play and the Opening rolled.

Post Opening:
Frida Paused the show as the opening ended.
“I think I remember nearly everything in that!” Hilda stated.
“I don’t think I ever tossed you onto the grate raven.” Johanna questioned. “But the opening was rather nice to hear.”
“Seeing you meet us in our scout uniforms is accurate to how we first got together.” David said.
“But what about that Troll at the start? What was that about?” Frida asked
“O I ran into a lot of trolls. Could be any number of them.” Hilda said. Now nervous at how much danger she been in and worried about how much her mother will react.
“Is no one going to mention that GIANT Hilda road the Grate Raven around?” Louise asked with some nervousness in her voice.
“That Jorgen. A Giant of old. Just when does this show start following me? Cause if hes reference then it start before me and Mum moved to Trollberg.”
“I am going to want to rewatch the opening after we finish the first Season and compare everything in it to everything that happen in the opening.” Alfur remarked “I got a lot of notes to take.”
“Can do Alfur. As for now lets watch and see what adventures Hilda got into when I was not looking” Johanna said as Frida pressed Play.

“A helpful water Spirit, trudging thought a weather spirit snow patch, running along a ton of migrating woffs. Was that what your daily life was like before you moved to Trollberg?” Frida asked.
“It was. I do missing the freedom of the wilderness. Being able to go where I wanted when ever I wanted.” Hilda said with a lot of nostalgia in her voice.
Johanna added. “Things have changed a lot since then. They were more simple times. But it not all bad.” She looked to Hilda with a Smile.
Hilda looked at her mum, then friends who all looked at her with smiles before saying “Yes. And I would not change any of it for the world.”
The show continued.

“Seeing me have Twig do that now makes me want to slap my younger self.” Hilda stated
“Considering that time you MMMM” David started to say before Frida covered his mouth.
“Leave some surprises David. Louise only joined us recently. And there plenty of stuff we were not there for and stuff Hilda’s mum was not there for. Part of the fun of this is finding out what only the others know.” Frida said with some annoyance. Upon taking her hand off David's mouth David simply nodded.
Louise quietly let out a nod and Frida hit play.

“I take it the incident you did your report on then. Why didn’t you mention this?” Johanna stated with some shock and concern.
“It all worked out. And you would have forbidden me from leaving the house if I told you.” Hilda responded.
“Well it few years too late for me to do anything now. But are there more near death moments coming up I should be prepared for?”
Hilda had a nervous grin. Knowing full well that there would be several. “maybe?”
Johanna let out a sigh. “Guess we will find out. Though now I am wishing we moved to Trollberg earlier. I won’t punish you for anything I learn from this. Beside it all in the past.”
The ep Title card appeared.
"The hidden People? Who are they?” Louise asked. No one answered. “Anyway. That a nice house you guys have in the wilderness. Can we go visit it?”
“Ask us later” Johanna said. Looking a little uncomfortable at the question.
“O hay it the Woodman” Hilda changed the subject.

“You have known him a long time. Does not feel like a friend. Just a… Ummm” Frida struggled to come up with the proper word.
“Also who is knocking on your door in the middle of no where?” David asked. As Alfur keep his mouth shut.
As soon as the tiny letter showed up David, Frida, and Louise let out a collective "Ooooooo"

“They really did a number on your house.” David said. “No wonder you moved.”
“That not why we moved.” Hilda said.
“If that was not enough to make you move then what was?” David asked.
“You will see later.” Hilda responded. “Also it nearly time!”
“For what? Is that Alfur I hear.”
“That would be correct” Alfur said. “This is where I enter Hilda’s life.”
“Any reason you two didn’t explain this to me then?” Johanna asked.
“I didn’t want to wake or worry you. Also you had enough on your mind at the time” Hilda said.

“Wow! That a lot of houses!” Louise said. “And elf politics have got to be annoying to deal with.”
“It was. Though I was willing to put it with it to stay there.” Hilda stated with some sadness in her voice
Everyone just stared in aw when Jorgen came on screen.
Not a word spoken.

“So moving on to Mayor.” Johanna said “Seems like he was not vary cooperative. Didn’t expect you to use black mail. But I guess that how much you loved our old house. And that answers where though nittens came from.”
“Thanks for getting though out by the way.” Hilda responded.
“This have been a lot more grounded then several of our other adventures.” Frida remarked. “Well beside that Giant. So how long is this going to keep feeling normal?”
“One way to find out” David said.

“Elf Houses really are every where out there” David remarked. And upon seeing Twig stop the rabbits he said “And Twig is really something to stop all though rabbits.” Twig took a proud nod to that remake. “He may be scared of Trolls, but who can blame him there.”
Then on the meeting with the prime minister.
“Well, it nice to finally learn why the Elves didn’t like us.” Johanna stated. “Even if the only reason they acted was because of Politics. And Alfur, thank you for helping Hilda as much as you did.”
“Your welcome Johanna. Though I had no clue what I was getting my self into. And you know what, I don’t regret any of it. The adventure, the reports, the greatest paper trail of our time. I’ve gotten to have a roll in so much. So next adventure?”
