Despite the amount they argued, Kim and Alix were actually pretty close. Kim was the first person Alix came out to as aroace and enby, and Kim fierceful defended them all throughout collège, scaring off potential bullies and sticking up for them no matter what. Even though Kim was, objectively, an idiot sometimes, and he could be pretty insensitive, Alix was pretty fond of him.
When Kim did really stupid shit, though, they did sometimes think about pretending they didn’t know him.
Like now.
In the middle of their art class, Kim spoke up. “Does anyone dare me to eat this paint?”
Alix rolled their eyes. “Don’t do that, idiot!”
“But–”
“There is an 80% chance that you will be hospitalised if you eat that paint. This likelihood increases by 5% for every additional bite you take after that,” Max said, pushing his glasses up his nose. “Markov agrees.”
“You guys never let me have any fun…”
“Yeah, not letting you eat paint. How cruel of us,” Alix scoffed. “Come on, dude. Either actually paint something, or leave.”
Kim grumbled a bit, but he did eventually pick up his palette, getting back to work. There was no more mention of eating paint after that, thankfully.
During their lunch break, Alix raced Kim through the courtyard, deliberately letting him win. Not that they’d ever admit that to him. He’d never let them live it down.
Kim could be so annoying, sometimes, but Alix couldn’t help being fond of him.
