It was a nice breezy afternoon in Adventure Bay. The weather was warming up and also Skye’s birthday was coming up.
While Skye was out flying with her pilot friend Ace, Ryder and the pups were at the lookout planning a surprise party.
“Okay pups, we have until tomorrow night to put together a surprise party for Skye! Katie is working on baking the cake. Now would be a good time to get some decorations and look for some fun activities since she’ll be gone for a while,” Ryder ordered.
“All this sounds like fun, but I feel bad having to hide stuff from her,” Chase said.
“That’s the point of surprise parties, Chase. It’s all going to be worth it when we throw her the best surprise party ever!” Rocky exclaimed.
“Chase, I will have you distract Skye just so there’s no raise of suspicion.
“Chase is on the case!” Chase exclaimed.
“Well dude, I could maybe help too! Skye and I have this bet on who can keep the ball on their nose the longest and we also have a list of bets to do,” Zuma suggested.
“Oh gee Zuma, that’s a lot!” Chase exclaimed.
“I know, but it’ll keep her busy,” Zuma replied, with a chuckle.
“Also, it’s been a while since the three of us girls had a sleepover at the cabin!” Everest exclaimed, referring to Jake’s cabin.
“Wait, that would be so fun. We can play Pup pup boogie!” Liberty exclaimed.
“Well okay,” Everest replied, with hesitation as she had a hard time with the game. Something that will be explained later in the story.
“That sounds like a good idea, Everest!” Chase exclaimed.
“Okay Zuma, Everest, and Liberty, you can help Chase! Rocky and Marshall, you’re in charge of decorating,” Ryder ordered.
“Green means go!” Rocky exclaimed.
“I’m fired up!” Marshall exclaimed.
“And Rubble, you’re in charge of the music for the party,” Ryder finished.
“Rubble on the double!” Rubble exclaimed.
“Okay, I see her coming now so spread out and get started with the surprise,” Ryder ordered, as he saw Skye approaching to the lookout.
“Oh there she is! Maybe we can do that bet!” Zuma exclaimed.
With Rocky and Marshall…..
Rocky and Marshall went to a craft store to find balloons and streamers and maybe some other decor too if there was anything else super eye catching.
“Maybe we can have a lot of pink glitter and spray it all over the lookout walls,” Marshall suggested.
“Marshall silly, we shouldn’t use glitter to paint the lookout walls! It’s going to be hard to wash off,” Rocky chuckled.
Marshall was laughing with him. “Or what about-whoaaaa,” he got cut off as he was tripping get some streamers on the floor.
“Gee, people really need to clean up after themselves,” Rocky sighed.
“I’m okay,” he said giggling, as he was tangled up in streamers.
With Chase, Everest, and Liberty….
“Okay, you guys invite her to the cabin and have her stay a couple of days. I’m hoping we don’t have any rescues that she will be needed for during that time but keep her there,” Chase ordered.
With Skye snd Zuma….
Those two were doing a bet on who can keep the ball on their nose the longest.
“Are you getting tired yet?” Zuma asked.
“Nope! Are you?” Skye asked in response.
“Not at all. I’m glad your need for your beauty sleep isn’t catching up to you yet,” Zuma teased.
“Hey, don’t make fun of me for that! I’m just a girl,” Skye replied getting defensive.
Just then, Everest and Liberty approached the two after having a conversation with Chase.
“Wow this looks fun!” Everest exclaimed.
“Hey Zuma, come here!” Zuma heard Rocky call.
“Oh shoot! Sorry Skye, we’re going to have to do a rematch later,” Zuma apologized, heading over to Rocky.
“Okay, that was weird. He never quits on our bets,” Skye said as she was confused as to why Zuma quit in the middle of their bet.
“Well, at least you won because winners don’t quit,” Liberty told her.
“Yeah, you’re right,” Skye giggled.
“By the way, it’s been a while since all had a sleepover at Jake’s cabin. Do you want to join me and Liberty? Then, we can spend the whole day together tomorrow Everest asked.
“Another sleepover? I would love that especially since the boys have been weird today, even Chase too,” Skye replied.
“Yeah forget boys,” Liberty joked as Everest was laughing with her.
