Erin Stetzer on Instagram: "Lately, many people have been asking me about Harmon Hinge Doors! Harmon Hinges, also known as pocketed pivot hinges, are specialized hardware that allows a door to swing clear of an opening and fold back into a recessed wall pocket. This design enables the door to rest flush alongside adjacent walls when open, creating a seamless and concealed appearance. They are perfect for hallways, closets, libraries, and bedrooms where you want clean transitions between spaces. It’s all about the details that elevate functionality and design! Would you use Harmon Hinge Doors in your home? 🛠️🚪 Designer: @eg_interiors Architect: @_dmgarchitects Builder: @erinstetzerhomes ______ #erinstetzerhomes #homebuilder #custombuilder #customhomes #customhomebuilder #construction
Wesley Knight on Instagram: "LETS TALK LUBRICATION: Owatrol oil has become an essential part of my armoury when using solvent based paints. Whether it be for my front doors, cabinetry, and even in varnish for a boat, it works perfectly in helping me achieve the high level of finish I strive for. Owatrol Oil is a versatile product with a range of uses in painting, decorating, and wood and metal treatment. Here’s a breakdown of its applications: 1. As a Paint Additive • Improving Paint Flow: Owatrol Oil can be added to oil-based paints to improve flow, reduce brush and roller marks, and make the paint easier to apply. • Preventing Lap Marks: It extends the wet edge of the paint, making it ideal for larger surfaces or areas where blending is needed. • Improving Adhesion: It helps paint
HÁM Interiors on Instagram: "We didn’t want the television to steal the spotlight in this beautiful sitting room, so we hid it behind a bespoke piece of art. Bringing this idea to life wasn’t easy! The challenge? Minimising visible hardware and avoiding a bottom track that might disrupt the joinery or reveal too much of what lies behind. After exploring various options—from custom antique brass runners to sliding door mechanisms—we chose a low-profile sliding door track, custom-painted to blend seamlessly with the walls. To hold the artwork off the wall at the bottom, we crafted a bespoke hidden wooden spacer with a felt glide that slides across the back of the painting seamlessly. Behind the artwork sits a Samsung Frame TV, which also displays a painting of a ship. What do you think—woul

TIFFANY | home styling & creative DIY projects on Instagram: "FAVORITE CUSTOM VANITY A custom white oak floating vanity was a must for our bathroom, but the $2,000+ price tag? No, thank you. 😳 So, I rolled up my sleeves and created it myself! Here’s how I did it: 1. Frame a base using 2x6s. 2. Base Frame: Start with a plywood piece cut to your desired vanity height and width. Secure it in place with glue and a pin nailer for a seamless finish. 3. Slim Shaker Sides: Rip a 1” white oak board into 3/8” thick strips and frame the sides for that trendy slim shaker style. 4. Front Design: Use a 1x3” board for the front, spacing it perfectly with a 3/8” strip as a guide. 5. Interior Structure: Cut a second piece of plywood to fit snugly inside the vanity, notching it to slide over the floa

Now we're going to need some boiling water a half a cup and you have to make sure that it's boiling. Now we're going to take half a cup of the epsom salt and pour it into that boiling hot water. And I'm stirring it really well until that water glows clear and we're just going to add in like two drops of dish soap. You don't need very much. Now I've seen people use sponges and paint brushes but I get the best results using a spray bottle. And we want to make that we have all of that epsom salt dissolved in that water. And you're just going to start spraying that pane of glass. You want to do it evenly so it's going to be forming nice crystals. So I just start at one end of the window and just spray until it's completely soaked. I set this aside. I came back in about an hour and this is what I had. Beautiful crystals on our panes of glass. This is so easy to do and if you want to clean it up afterwards you just take a scraper and carefully scrape it off and you're back to your plain glass.

Kate Rumson on Instagram: "You’ve been asking about our fireplace, so here are all the details: it’s called @hearthcabinet , and it doesn’t require gas, electricity, or wood but uses alcohol gel fuel cartridges that produce real fire. It has the high-end look of a wood-burning fireplace but requires no ventilation and can be installed virtually anywhere. We chose this fireplace because we couldn’t build a chimney that would go all the way up to the roof because we have a window on the second floor above our fireplace, and we didn’t want to use a direct-vent fireplace because they’re extremely inefficient (energy efficiency was very important to us) After nearly two years of use, we’re very happy with our choice. It looks just like a traditional wood-burning fireplace and is very easy to
molly harris | diy furniture flips on Instagram: "Would you believe me if I said I didn’t have to sand those drawer fronts or barely any of this massive dresser 👀 I was determined NOT to sand all those details, but I knew I wanted a natural look. I tried out a few methods on this piece, all worked fine but in the end what worked best was scrubbing it with acetone and watching the finish fall off 🤌🏻 The tan wash I used was a 1:1 ratio of ‘turbo tan’ by Valspar and water. Aging wax is by Magnolia Home. Comment ‘acetone’ and I’ll send you instructions on how to use this method + a link to the hardware. #furnitureflip #furnituremakeover #dresserflip #dressermakeover"
Christina on Instagram: "These are bifold doors, which upcycled using 1/4” plywood, and 1x3 trim boards. The doors now operate as a set of double doors, and they aren’t constantly falling off the tracks (not to mention, they’re much cuter). I did use a router to sink the new hinges on the edges, but I don’t have saved video of that in this reel. The paint color is a custom match to the spot and star wallpaper. I have a saved highlight at the top of my bio about these doors if you want to see this slower and with more detail to do your own!"
