This is one of my favvvvorite ways to brighten up existing blonde when my client doesn’t need/want/it isn’t in their budget to do the entire blonding service. 👉🏼 I start with a face frame/money piece 👉🏼 I dampen the hair behind the face frame foils (usually I prefer doing it at the shampoo bowl but a spray bottle will work) 👉🏼 I apply lightener to the ends and let that process for 20-30 minutes 👉🏼 I rinse and root tap the face frame if needed & gloss if needed Have you ever tried this!? Foiling like this saves time and covers more area BUT the reason I like to zigzag right at the part is bc it could become uneven if it’s not perfectly parted where they wear their hair all the time…even if it’s just slightly off. I’ve done a whole head of foils JUST zigzag parting and it came out beautifully and I didn’t have to shadow root. This specific instance we chose to shadow root regardless bc it tends to make her face frame pop and extends the life of her foil!
