DIVERS:British bird series.

Red and black divers are obvious by the red or black on thier throats, hence the name. The great northern diver more of black and wite patterning. Strictly water birds diving for fish. They have feet that sit back on thier boddies making it difficult to move on land, only other time on land is on the nest, usually in Scotland. The red throated diver will leave the loch where its nesting to fish in the sea. They can be heard making wailing sounds in the breeding season.
