I have been eating this shortbread since 1994! 1.5 cups softened butter 2 cups flour 1 cup icing sugar 1 cup cornstarch 1/2 tsp salt Work all ingredients together with hands or dough hook on stand mixer. Roll dough and cut into shapes with cookie cutters Bake on cookie sheet at 300 for 20 minutes. Let cool on wire rack. Ice with icing sugar mixed with a small amount of milk or water. When you want a quick and impressive dessert, or for afternoon tea - these will satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth without filling up on carbs. Recipe: 2 cups almond flour 1/2 cup maple syrup 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips - melted In large bowl add the almond and maple syrup - mix and mold into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in freezer for 20 minutes. Remove from the freezer and roll out the dough. Place on a baking sheet and put into a preheated oven 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
