Dates themselves are a good snack but add some peanut butter and chocolate and they are even more delicious! I would have to say this snack tasted more like a peanut butter cup than a Snickers. Maybe if I used a different type of nut butter it would taste closer. I'll have to try that next time. Let me know if you've tried this snack and what you think. Dates themselves are a good snack but add some peanut butter and chocolate and they are even more delicious! I would have to say this snack tasted more like a peanut butter cup than a Snickers. I've been wanting to make another candy bar at home and finally got around to making some Twix. I was not impressed with this one. Maybe I needed to bake the shortbread layer longer. I also think they would taste better with a small layer of chocolate all around the bar and not just a thick layer on top. Notes for next time! Homemade Kit Kats / Homemade Candy Bar Series ep. 4

I made some homemade Kit Kat bars! I couldn't find just the wafers so I could make my own filling, so I used an easy hack by making them with wafer cookies! Only 2 ingredients! So easy! The vanilla wafer ones tasted like a regular Kit Kat. The chocolate one just tasted like chocolate. The strawberry one had the most flavor and that was the one everyone seemed to like the most. These 3 Musketeers bars took awhile to make, not gonna lie, but they were better than the real thing, in my opinion! And everyone at work agreed! They thought they were also better than the homemade Kit Kats (video coming shortly). It was a simple process and only uses 3 ingredients.
