Arctic Loon The Arctic Loon, also known as the black-throated Loon, is a migratory aquatic bird found in the northern hemisphere, primarily breeding in freshwater lakes in northern Europe and Asia. It winters along sheltered, ice-free coasts of the north-east Atlantic Ocean and the eastern and western Pacific Ocean. Jungle myna
Despite the tag of jungle it has adapted itself to the new urban habitat. It is also seen near the garbage dump for food. It is not seen much as the common myna, what is the beauty of the jungle myna is that it has a beautiful crest, white eyes with a black eye ball. This beautiful bird nest between february and July, they sites are abandoned holes by wood peckers. The female lays 4-5 beautiful shiny green blue eggs. The male female take turns to incubate the eggs and feed the chicks. On the whole the jungle myna is worth studying, how it adapts to human presence, how it utilises the available habitat, why they numbers fluctuate, how far they succeed in breeding, what species prey on them.
