U.S. War Veterans and PTSD Awareness
U.S. War Veterans and PTSD Awareness... "Not All Wounds Are Visible......We made this video as a class project examining an issue involving dignity. We chose this issue because we felt like War Veterans in America are marginalized and discounted and it's wrong."
We love the Stonehenge Stars & Stripes quilt panel. Perfect for a Quilts of Valor project. In 2003, Catherine Roberts founded Quilts of Valor (QOVF) after her son was deployed. Today he is an Iraq war veteran with a Purple Heart. The mission was to cover all wounded warriors in Iraq/Afghanistan that bore physical and mental wounds from war with a Quilt of Valor. She linked quilters in a national effort to honor and comfort those who served our nation. Learn more about QOVF at www.qovf.org
The Florida Surfing Association partnered up with the Wounded Warriors Project to create "Surf Warriors," a group of 3 surfing camps that teach wounded war veterans how to surf and enjoy life the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
Veterans Charity - Non Profit Organization for Veterans | Wounded Warrior Project
