Why not just use lime wash, you ask? 🤔 First, lime wash paint is wayyy more expensive that just regular latex paint. Second, you have to be very cautious with lime wash not to get it on your skin because of the material, and I’m a messy painter 🧑‍🎨 😂. Honestly, it just seemed like too much work as I looked further and further into it and this seemed WAY EASIER and IT IS. I said I would do this room in a budget and I became obsessed with all things limewash only to find out that it’s quite costly, in fact the shipping cost alone was twenty six pounds…. Back to the drawing board I wasn’t giving up and discovered a way to get the effect with regular paint… here’s how Prep, make sure the walls are clean dry and holes filled, you will need a big soft brush a painting tray, some foil and a couple of extra buckets/ tubs Next select your paint, you need two different colours about 3 shades apart. I bought a tub of @duluxuk Egyptian cotton poured half into a bucket and darkened it using a tester pot I already had of dulux coffee dust.
