Our sensory bins are bright, fun and draw children in to play. Every bin has been tested by my preschool classroom to make sure every part of the bin is loved and used by little ones and of course durable enough to hold up to hours of play! This bin has brought so much joy and hours of entertainment for the preschoolers in my classroom, now I'm happy to share it with you and your children. I'm sure they will enjoy it just as much as my preschoolers. Sensory bins are not only fun but educational

Stephanie | low-prep learning through play on Instagram: "It’s National Watermelon Day 🍉 Save to try and follow for more simple sensory play ideas! This #simplesensorysaturday we made a quick and easy watermelon sensory filler. If you’ve never tried dyeing rice, it really is so simple! Just a splash of vinegar and a few drops of food coloring. Then shake up and let dry. To make this: 3 cups of red/pink rice (I also mixed in a little bit of plain white) About 1/2 cup of green rice Black beans We paired it with this awesome watermelon printable from @paperplaneeducationalresources (SIMPLY10 to save). We rolled the dice and then counted out that many seeds. #simplesensoryplayideas #learnthroughplay #lowpreplearningideas #sensoryfiller #diyplay #preschoolactivities #sensorytable"

Stephanie | low-prep learning through play on Instagram: "Need an engaging way to practice cvc words? This is the perfect activity for teaching beginning readers to blend sounds in words! Using a car to drive through the words is a great way to teach blending sounds together! Why? 1 It’s fun! (Obviously) 2 It encourages kids to blend continuously “ssssiiittt” rather than stopping between sounds “s-i-t.” This makes it easier for them to blend the sounds correctly and read the word accurately. It also helps them read more fluently. 3 It is multi-sensory and encourages fine motor development. You can just as easily draw a road, but this dotted line stamper is great for making roads and practicing handwriting. #learnthroughplay #playbasedlearning #sensoryplay #finemotorskills #phonicsfu
Edutopia on Instagram: "From @preschool_vibes_ : “Dive into our unique science center activity where traditional color mixing meets Play-Doh fun! We’re stepping away from paint and using Play-Doh to explore color theory. Students start by taking a small pinch of two different colors, blending them thoroughly to see which new color emerges. This activity isn’t just about color transformation; it’s also a fantastic fine motor exercise as they squish and squeeze the dough. Watch as they match their newly created color to a circle on a Velcro dot, then store their colorful samples in a baggie to take home. We’ve prepared four jars of each color to keep this engaging activity running for two weeks. Stay tuned as we move to the next tray to explore the fascinating dynamics of movement.”"
