This Easter Salt Dough craft is one of our favorites. It feels fun, and cheerful for spring and new beginnings. Christmas has so many fun activities, but it seems like Easter gets overlooked. I want to set up traditions not just around one holiday, but several holidays that are particularly meaningful. One of my favorite books on this topic was Sally Clarkson’s “Life-giving Home”. In that book, every holiday had meaningful traditions every month of the year. These traditions and celebrations united them as a family and grounded them in their faith!

I’ve looked everywhere for a fun nature scavenger hunt. We love camping and hiking! Our goal is to spend a lot of time in nature, and having something to do while we are out there really helps. I started our own nature study group and would print off scavenger hunts, but I discovered they were all really general. I decided to make some that are seasonally appropriate, in order to make sure we can maximize the fun. There is nothing worse than losing your scavenger hunt because you can’t find a bloom in January.

This resurrection garden activity will help teach your kids about Jesus’ death and resurrection with a kinesthetic approach to help your active kids remember. The worst lessons grown up were the ones when grown-ups just talked “at” me. The best were the ones when we got to do something fun, or see something interesting. I’ve tried really hard with lessons I want the kids to really take to heart to make it more active and less talking. Even with the Resurrection Eggs, I let them open, hold, and touch the eggs and their contents while I tell the story.

Also, your list may look a little different depending on what kinds of rooms you have in your house. We have a 1500 sq ft house with three bedrooms and a bath and a half.
