Why Ty Lee?

We chose Ty Lee to represent The Magician because of her large personality, resourcefulness, and ability to manifest her desires. She is a character of action, from her joining the circus to rejoining Azula to finally backing Mai up and battling her. Her unpredictability also makes her a character who is full of potential.

Why the Gaang?

The zero card in the Major Arcana represents innocence and new beginnings, so we feel the Gaang at its start fits this card well. Morgan came up with this amazing concept in her application, and we enthusiastically gave it a green light.

Yes!! This is fully functional and based on the Rider-Waite deck. We took a lot of care to make sure that the artwork corresponds to the meanings of the cards. 

Also, sidenote, our guidebook includes the card-art and the meanings (both upright and reversed) to make the link between the art and symbolism extra clear :)
