I love that most of these are like "South American air force starter kit"
I've seen almost all of these at the Chilean Aeronautic Museum, or outside some of the bases. My favorite is the Dragonfly, it's so cool; I got to sit in one when I was a kid.
Hehe, very true! The Mirage III/V was the very first supersonic aircraft of Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Perú, Brazil and Argentina; the C-130 is still the backbone of the transport fleets of everyone but Paraguay, which never operated the type, and Brazil, which recently retired it; the C-47 was basically operated by everyone; the A-37 was operated by Colombia, Chile, Perú and Uruguay, and the 707 was the main (and for some, sole) tanker aircraft for the air forces that operate/d the type of aircraft (Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina).
I remember dinners like this in Chicago, as a kid
