I always liked how Air goes for a centralized plot angle unlike the usual charage.
There is that, of course, but then you get an unexpected flashback route for added worldbuilding, and that's where the real ambition is.
I'm not personally the biggest fan of the ethereal, dream-like plot because of how hard it is to wrap my head around, but everything else supports the dream-like feeling well. If nothing else, the vibes are certainly there. Very melancholic.
The Dream scenario routes are divisive from what I've heard. I didn't like Kano's much, Minagi's was good but way too long, and Misuzu's ties to the central plot the most, and is the most memorable.
The final route's true heroine (and best girl) is Haruko though, wish drunk single moms were real.
