Genuinely one of the worst RPGmaker horror games I've played, if you feel compelled to buy this game because of all the funny posts regarding it, please know what you're getting into. This remake is especially bad because even despite being in a more flexible engine (Unity) it still has a ton of vestigial hold-overs like "HP" and "MP" which were initally just there because of the game engine, now it just feels sort of tacky... The game itself doesn't look any better, it's still pretty ugly, which is crazy knowing how oddly profitable this series is in Japan??? The story and gameplay are also laughable shallow, and the new Ai Oni mode included with this remake is one of the most stupid additions I've ever seen with it being completely randomized rooms with no actual level design, it's such a clear after thought entirely added to make this remake seem "worth it" and have "new content" when in reality it's just a lazy remake of an already sub-par game. If you actually have an interest in RPGmaker horror and want to play a good one, play literally anything else... except Mad Father. That game sucks too.
