Yes. Globe’s 5G network uses a fiber backbone that enables it to deliver fiber-fast speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

What is the minimum committed speed of Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans?

The minimum committed speed is 30% of the subscribed plan. (See: What are the available plans under Globe’s 5G service?)

When will Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans become available?

Plans will be available starting 4th week of July in select areas.

Does a Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan come with a wireless landline?

No. Globe’s 5G plans are data-only. Only existing Globe At Home LTE subscriptions with a wireless landline can retain their existing line.

Does a Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan require a new modem?

Yes. A 5G-capable modem will be installed in your home after your application gets approved.

Will LTE plans still be available?

Yes. Globe will continue to offer LTE, and other plans, in addition to its 5G services.

Who are eligible to avail of a Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

Globe’s 5G service is available to new and existing wireless customers from areas covered by the service.

Which areas are covered by Globe’s 5G service?

Globe’s 5G plans will be initially available in these specific locations:

  • Carmona, Cavite (launch date TBD)
  • Barangay Buting, Pasig City (starting July 27)
  • San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan (launch date TBD)

Will more areas become eligible for Globe’s 5G service?

Yes. Globe will make announcements as more areas become eligible.

How do I apply for a Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

To apply for a 5G plan, submit one valid ID and proof of financial capacity to your authorized sales agent, then fill out the required forms. Once availability is confirmed and your application has been approved, Globe’s service team will install your 5G connection.

Will installation fees apply to Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans?

No. Installation fees will be waived for 5G subscriptions.

Can existing LTE and MIMO customers upgrade to a Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

Yes, provided they are located in an area covered by 5G. Customers can upgrade their plan by calling Globe customer care at (02) 730-1000.

Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans come with a lock-in period of 24 months. The lock-in period applies whether the customer is getting a new 5G plan, or upgrading from an existing wireless plan.

What are the requirements for upgrading a plan to 5G?

The requirements for upgrading to a 5G plan are:

  • Subscriber must have an existing subscription with Globe.
  • Subscriber must have been using their existing Globe plan for at least seven months.
  • Proof of financial capacity (for plans 2499 and up).
  • No outstanding balance upon upgrade request.
  • No temporary or permanent disconnection orders.

What will happen to my existing paid device, content, and landline subscriptions?

These will be carried over to your new 5G plan and bill.

Can existing wired customers switch to wireless to avail of a 5G plan?

Yes provided they upgrade to a 5G plan with greater speed, and their location is covered by the service.

What are the available Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans?

Super-Sized Data plans include:

  • Plan 1899 (20 Mbps; 2 TB)
  • Plan 2499 (50 Mbps; 2 TB)
  • Plan 2899 (100 Mbps; 2 TB)

The monthly service fee will be waived for the first three months, and Unli Data Boost will be free during the pre-selling period.

What will be included with my Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

In addition to high-speed wireless connection and high data allocation, all Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G subscriptions come with:

  • Monthly service fee waived for the first three months
  • Free Unli Data Boost for the first three months
  • Free modem
  • Free installation
  • Access to top streaming sites for six months from Globe

Which streaming content sites are included with my Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

Subscribers who avail of a 5G plan will receive six months’ access to Netflix, DisneyLife, HOOQ, iflix, Amazon Prime, and Fox+ from Globe.

Are Unli packages available under Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plans?

Not at the moment. However, Globe’s 5G plans already offer a super-sized data allocation of 2 TB. This amount is more than enough for binge-watching, gaming, and powering digitally-connected households.

What are the fees in my subscription?

The monthly service fee will be charged starting on the 4th month — service will be free for the first three months. Modem and installation are also free.

Would I be getting my bills for the first three months?

Yes. You will be getting your bill for the first three months, but no fees will be charged during this period.

What will happen on the 4th month?

Your regular monthly service fee will take effect. Your 2 TB data allocation will also be applied.

Will my plan’s speed be throttled or slowed down?

We’re confident that you’ll be happy with the speed of your 5G plan. But please note that actual speeds will depend on a number of factors.

Can I upgrade my Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

Yes. You can upgrade your plan after the 3rd month of your subscription.

Can I downgrade my Globe at Home Air Fiber 5G plan?

Yes. You can downgrade your plan after the 3rd month of your subscription.

What will happen if I cancel my subscription before the end of contract period?

There will be a pretermination fee equivalent to two months’ worth of your monthly service fee plus Php 2,500. You may also call our hotline to have your 5G modem pulled out to have your pretermination fee waived.

Aftersales

Is my 5G modem portable?

No. Your modem will only work in the address it was installed in.

Can I transfer my 5G modem to my new residence?

Yes, provided you make a Transfer of Location request, and your new residence is in a 5G-enabled location.

How would I know if my modem is working properly?
