Tyler, easily! And the simple reason is that - it’s a series and we get to see him more compared to the singular movies of other characters.
I love EVERY SINGLE character Chris has played. I’m talking Dementus. I’m talking Billy. I’m talking Henry. Owen. Optimus. Even the Tv guy in Elsa’s movie! They have such nuance and beauty. And I want more and more of them. And with Tyler we get that. It’s so satisfying.
Moreover, Director Hargrave and Chris truly love Tyler and care about doing justice to him. It’s like the antithesis of Waititi Thor.
Sike, surprise rant incoming!
1. They actually make him look good with the sxiest haircut, tattooes and clothes.
Thor gets all his relationships comically ripped from him - his dad, his brother, his girlfriend, his entire goddamn planet while he cracks jokes aS a CoPiNg MeChAnIsM.
Thor gets bullied by a rando kid who has no organic build-up coming in his life.
4. It may be a minor thing for people but it bothers me no end that Waititi literally gave Thor a big deformity for the rest of his appearances by gouging his eye out. It’s so sick and vile. (God bless Russos for saying heck you to him).
And while Tyler goes through it with physical injuries, Hargrave never does anything like that.
I’m sorry I can never let this sht go. It broke my heart to see Thor go through all that humiliation so I’m glad at least Tyler got to have what Thor didn’t.
Yes Tyler is such an amazing character to watch! He has so much depth and layers to him it’s amazing! And he gets to thrive with an amazing and creative director!
Ooh yay rant!!! 🤩
1. Yes they made him look so pretty! And they fit his character while Watiti just slapped on low effort clothing and tattoos and called it a day!
2. Throughout the Extraction series, there’s no back to back joke! Tyler’s depression and self destructive behavior actually gets to have moments! Meanwhile Thor gets made fun of his trauma as well joking about it every five seconds.
3. Tyler gets to have emotional and meaningful relationships with every character he interacts with. Including the villains in the series! Like over time he connects with Ovi and ends up growing a soft spot for him as well as Nina in the second extraction! Hell even with Sandro he has a meaningful relationship with him as he does everything in his power from trying to turn him away from the dark side of his father’s cult. And of course with Nik he has such a deep connection with her as she is one of the only people he trusts to the fullest. Along with that, he even has such a great relationship with her brother Yaz who have funny banters together (which are comical along with the serious tone).
4. Oh yes! His eye being ripped out was traumatizing to see. At least with Extraction the injuries don’t go overboard with the injuries and keeps it somewhat graphic yet realistic!
The details and plot of the Extraction series is insane! The crew did so amazing in making this movie I swear! And of course Chris did an incredible job as Tyler as well! Very well said my friend!

i’ve never been interested in jmes bond but if my thor is playing him you bet i’ll watch every single movie right from the beginning in preparation!
some major portals are reporting that chris is in the running so fingers crossed. most probably amazon mgm will announce the next bond at cinemacon. and chris will most likely be there for crime 101 anyway.
