Motivation #2: Class Dojo. Set up a reward dollar system to motivate students to read more. Any time a students reads a book give them $10. When a student willingly reads in class reward the effort with $5. Keep track of how much money students have and assign a tangible item to each $10 amount. For example: $20 for a trip to the treasure box. Also keep track of who are your reading leaders each week and put their name (or picture if possible on the board as well as a certificate.
