Hardy Lavenders

Hardy varieties of lavender with recommendations for Denver metro area. The hardy lavenders include narrow-leaved English Lavender varieties, and Lavandins, which are hybrids of the narrow-leaved English with wide-leaf spike lavenders. English lavenders will often bloom twice in a season; the lavandins bloom once a bit later in the season. Other lavenders, such as French and Spanish lavenders, are best treated as annuals here. They are great additions to flower beds and containers.
