If you struggle with acne or bumpy skin, here’s a simple, dermatologist-approved drugstore skincare routine to help smooth out bumps and reduce breakouts: 1. Cleanse with PanOxyl 4% in the AM. Leave on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing off (can stain towels and sheets). 2. Apply La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Solution (which contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid) 3x/week in the AM. Pour on a cotton pad and then apply evenly to face. Follow with sunscreen. 3. At night, apply a pea-sized amount of adapalene (Differin) 0.1% gel to your entire face, followed by moisturizer. Start a few nights per week and work-up to nightly (do not use if pregnant). If you are pregnant or sensitive to retinoids, a great alternative to adapalene is Walgreens Azelaic Acid 10% suspension. Apply a thin layer to your face and follow with moisturizer. For moderate to severe acne, seek care from a board-certified dermatologist for prescription treatments. #acnetreatment #comedones #affordableskincare #fyp | Dr. Neera
