The sacrament of Confirmation requires the student to have a sponser. The sponser has to have fulfilled the sacraments up until confirmation. Their job is to guide and mentor the student through the sacrament of confirmation and once the fulfilled the sacrament they are to remain there as a supportive disciple and continue to keep the faith of God with them and the person they're sponsering. -Natalie
